Over time, however, it breaks in, just like the original Nectar mattress, and adapts to your body and becomes less firm and rather comfortable. They did not cause me to bottom out or feel stuck in foam at all.īoth Kaye and myself felt this bed initially was on the firmer side of the spectrum, but quite comfortable due to the luxurious materials used in the top comfort and transition layers and soft and breathable cover. It is true that I compressed the plush top comfort layer quite a bit, but the slightly firmer transition and firm base layer below prevented me from sinking even further into the mattress. With many mattresses, since I am a heavier sleeper, I tend to press through the top comfort layers and feel more of the support layers which are often harder and not as comfortable.īut, this was not the case with the Nectar Lush mattress. Its top comfort layer provided a soft, luxurious feel while the firmer transition and base layers below provided just the right amount of support needed for all sleeping styles and all types of sleepers, even heavier sleepers such as myself (230 lbs). We felt it to be a medium firm mattress, although it was slightly firmer than the original Nectar mattress.
